About Industrio

The roots of this German company date back to 1896, more than 110 years from now.

Founded as SMI this company got active in the aerospace business when the first aeroplanes constructred out of metal were built.

In the year 1913 SMI contributed to the success of Claude Dornier when he built his world-famous flying boats.

During more than 90 years SMI was the German manufacturer of fasteners for the aeronautic industry.

Based on this history the owner of the company decided to face the challenges of the future.

The name was changed to Industrio GmbH and new strategic plans have been put in place.

Industrio GmbH has specialised in selling standard hardware for the aeronautic industry.
